Snow

Snow snow snow.

I heard that Korea had finally had its White Christmas in the year 2009, after a long wait of 10 years.

Makes me sad to have missed it :(

Spiderweb

God bless the soul, divine festival,
Let this cold rainstorm resurrect the soul,
Eternal sun, dance with the infernal one
To the rhythm of the heart, universal drum.
What you've become is what you were destined to be,
Your cold blue lips are confessing to me.
Be my infinite true wife,
Death is the start of a new life.

Official Graduate

I have officially graduated my college, Kristin School.

Leavers Dinner... Unforgettable.

Somehow I regretted not knowing all of the 170 other students graduating with me this year... the Kristin class of 2009; some of them eternal friends and some of them unforgettable companions but was ashamed to have realised I've never seen some of them before the dinner...

Lizzie, your speech made me wonder whether I would ever find a friend I could truly cry for when we have to say good bye...I must also say that you were brilliant to everyone, all the time during your life in Kristin, and you always will be, I'm sure.

I had also been personally mentioned by Mr Kelly in his speech, which was an honor.

Memorable quote from Mr Clague, not a teacher but definitely someone I will miss the most:
"Success is something accepted by many but recognised by few; excellence is something accepted by few but recognised by many."

This will be engraved into my heart, being absolutely certain that Kristin had brought us personal and unique excellence instead of steering us into the path of shallow stereotypical success, while being absolutely certain that this excellence will be followed by amazing success.

I am writing this entry with a hint of depression knowing I may not see most of my Kristin community again for a very long time... Hopefully I can bite my lip and move on despite feeling a great gap in my mental world where Kristin used to be.

All the best, and thank you Kristin teachers, staff, friends for making my life into something much more.

Senses.

Humans don't have 5 senses.
We have 9:

Sense of Sight.
Sense of Hearing.
Sense of Taste.
Sense of Touch.
Sense of Smell.
Sense of Time.
Sense of Balance.
Sense of Pain.
Sense of Emotion.

Originate the Future
Fascinate the Culture

All good things come to an end...

... But better things lay await for us if we look hard enough...

This is what I have to say for many of the "last" things I have upon me in the next few weeks... Last week of my school life which I will thoroughly miss,
the last bunch of exams I will ever sit as a high school student,
the last time I might even see many of the students of the school I called home
for so many years...

It feels like I've only managed to scoop a piece off the tip of the iceberg of everything I should've, could've and would've done, learnt and tried, especially getting to know so many of you only just recently in the Kristin Community.

Leaving school is a bone chilling thought, to be really honest.
Who would have known that in my first day at school, thirteen years ago, I would leave school
Before I knew it?

I want to go baaack........
...Just gulped down my reality pills. Whew.

However, there is a new life ahead of me, which I am sure will pass just as quickly.
A life we call school, as we don't know it,
where we are not bound by curriculum, by strictly-to-the-rules subject choices,
where people just don't care whether you do homework, don't care if you fail, don't care if you are writing this blog entry in the middle of a lecture...

Freedom...brings responsibilities.

responsibilities like never before... responsibilities that are indescribable unless experienced first hand, which I will have soon enough...

Now I must take that big step to embrace this change,
look for the better when the good has come to an end...

...the end is a start of a new beginning.

Peace, with a hint of sadness and excitement.

Break's Over.

Study Break's over.

It is time we step into
our last year of our schooling life
and hopefully this step will determine
where we will be
in the near future.

Not that I do want exams.

I hate them a lot.

Stress level 1-up'ed.

Emotion

emotion...
oceans of motion,
devotion to a notion,
a fool's love potion,
explosion, implosion,
a crowded soul's commotion,
crazy movement, hence 'loco' motion,
abortion of laws, a flaw, extortion,
denotion melodic, logic's corrosion,
contortion, distortion of constant proportion,
the brain's demotion for the heart's promotion.
emotion.

Es tan corto el amor, y es tan largo el olvido

Love is short, but forgetting it takes an eternity.

Too true.

Smartness and Intelligence

What is the difference between being smart and being intelligent?

Well, I speak with no authority, but here is what I think:

Smartness is knowing what is what, and understanding new things.
Intelligence is knowing what is what, finding links between old and new knowledge and applying it in real life situations, that is, having a cognitive mind.

For example, tomatoes. Fruit or vegetable?

Those that are smart will know that tomatoes are fruit.
Those that are intelligent will know that although tomatoes are fruit, it does not belong in fruit salads, they belong in salads. Some will also make links with another similar case, with the cucumber, technically a fruit, but still a green vegetable in our everyday minds.

However...

Those that are in a completely different level will know that what goes in the salad does not matter, as long as those that try it are happy about it. Someone likes tomatoes? So be it, throw some tomatoes in their fruit salads and watch them smile. Like apples? The chances are you will find some in your garden salad. We, as humans, are capable of making exceptions even with our superior knowledge and intelligence, knowing where things belong, and why. Being smart and being intelligent does not define a human to its core.

Creativity does.

Just started my very own blog :)

Here is a nice simple beginning to my entries :)

The Bible in 50 words:

God made.
Adam bit,
Noah arked, Abraham split,
Joseph ruled, Jacob fooled,
Bush talked, Moses Balked,
Pharoh plagued, people walked,
Sea divided, tablets guided,
Promise landed,
Saul freaked, David peeked,
Prophets warned, Jesus born.
God walked, love talked,
Anger crucified, hope died.
Love rose, spirit flamed,
Words spread, God remained.
